In a concerning incident that took place on Friday afternoon, a 12-year-old girl was hit by a car on Franz-Bracht-Straße in Recklinghausen. The girl was slightly injured and was treated in the hospital on the same day.

According to the information provided by the Police Headquarters Recklinghausen and transmitted via news aktuell, the accident occurred around 1:40 PM. The driver, described as approximately 55 to 60 years old, about 1.60m to 1.70m tall, of normal build, with gray short hair, wearing a pink top, jeans, and carrying a gold-pink waist bag, was reportedly driving a dark/black car (possibly a VW). The driver is said to have spoken to the girl after the accident but did not report it.

The girl's mother reported the accident to the police later. The driver who hit the girl was leaving the parking lot of Nordfriedhof (Lortzingstraße) onto the road.

The police are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman involved. Anyone with information about her is asked to contact the responsible traffic commission under Tel. 0800/2361 111.
